The heel should stay planted when walking or skating, while the toes lie naturally without pressing into the end or sides.

Between Sizes

Nike recommends choosing the larger size when measured foot length falls between two chart sizes.

Toe shape, padding and construction vary among Dunk SB, Janoski, Blazer, Ishod and other silhouettes. Product-specific advice takes priority.

Break-In

Suede, leather and padding may soften with wear, but new shoes should not cause painful pressure or force the toes to curl.

Wider Feet

If the correct length feels tight across the forefoot or top of the foot, consider a roomier model or half-size increase rather than tolerating pressure.

Youth Growing Room

Allow approximately 1 cm between the longest toe and shoe tip, while ensuring the heel does not lift or slide out.

How to Measure

Prepare: Measure late in the day while wearing the socks normally used with your Nike SB shoes.

Secure the Paper: Tape a sheet of paper to a hard, flat floor so it cannot move during measurement.

Stand Naturally: Stand on the paper with feet shoulder-width apart and weight balanced evenly. Measure while standing, not sitting.

Mark Heel and Toe: Ask someone to hold a pen straight down and mark the outermost heel point and the tip of the longest toe.

Measure Length: Step off and measure the straight-line distance between the two marks. Compare it with the foot-length column—not the CM/JP label.

Measure Both Feet: Repeat for the other foot and select your size using the longer measurement.

Check Width: Length alone does not capture forefoot width or instep volume. The shoe should feel secure without side or top pressure.

Fit Check: Lace both shoes and move naturally. Confirm that the heel remains stable and the toes can move without contacting the front.
