Whether you are linking your very first turns on the bunny hill, learning to slide your first rail, or dropping a massive backcountry cliff, hitting the snow hurts. The hardpack is unforgiving. Impact protection isn't just for beginners—it is the secret to riding aggressively with absolute confidence, knowing you have a buffer between your body and the ice. At The Drop, we stock essential body armor designed to absorb the heavy slams without restricting your mobility.

Snow-Specific Wrist Guards

Broken and sprained wrists are the number one injury in snowboarding because human instinct is to throw your hands out when you fall. We carry low-profile, snow-specific wrist guards engineered with flexible splints to absorb and disperse the impact of a harsh landing. Unlike bulky skate or rollerblade guards, these are specifically designed to slide seamlessly underneath your winter gloves or mitts without cutting off your circulation or creating painful pressure points.

Impact Shorts & Butt Pads

Catching a heel edge on an icy groomer and slamming your tailbone can end your day instantly. Our padded impact shorts (often called "butt pads") protect your tailbone, hips, and glutes with lightweight, low-profile foam that hardens on impact. We stock options for adults, youth, and toddlers, ensuring everyone from the seasoned park rat to the kid taking their first lesson can get back up and try again. The modern, slim fits slide flawlessly under your snow pants without adding any unwanted bulk.
