Finding your size

Choosing the right ski length comes down to your height and skill level. As a rule of thumb, a ski standing on end should reach somewhere between your chin and forehead.

  • Longer (+5 cm) = more stability, speed and float

Adjusting Ski Length Based on Skiing Ability

Your skill level affects how much control you’ll have with a given ski length:

Beginner

  • Go for skis closer to chin height or even shorter.

  • Shorter skis are easier to maneuver, especially at low speeds.

  • Ideal for learning basic turns and controlling speed.

Intermediate

  • Opt for skis that fall between chin and nose height.

  • This offers more versatility for learning to carve and handle moderate terrain.

Advanced to Expert

  • Choose skis closer to or above head height.

  • Longer skis provide better stability at higher speeds and improved performance in deep snow and variable terrain.Ski sizing diagram showing beginner, intermediate, and advanced ski length recommendations

    Going Shorter vs. Going Longer

Once you know your recommended size range, there are a few good reasons to size up or down. Shorter skis tend to be easier to maneuver and turn, while longer skis offer greater stability, especially at higher speeds.

    Factor Go Shorter Go Longer
    Ability Beginner Advanced
Terrain Park, groomers (Subtract 2–5 cm for maneuverability) Powder, freeride (Add 2–5 cm for flotation and stability)
Style Slower, controlled (Subtract around 2 cm) Fast, aggressive (Add around 2 cm)
Weight Lighter than average (Size down 1–3 cm) Heavier than average (Size up 1–3 cm for added stability)
Ski Profile More camber More rocker

Shape & Profile

Active Camber 0/100/0

Ski Profile

Active Camber 0/100/0

Active Camber increases effective edge contact for better edge grip on icy slopes and stability.

Active Camber 0/100/0 uses traditional camber throughout the full length of the ski, with no rocker in the tip or tail. This shape maximizes effective edge contact with the snow, delivering precise grip, exceptional stability and direct power transmission from one turn to the next. The fully cambered profile stores energy as the ski is pressured, producing strong rebound and acceleration through the turn. Designed for firm, groomed and icy conditions, Active Camber offers confident carving performance and a powerful, controlled feel for skiers who prioritize accuracy and dependable edge hold.

Ski Shape

Directional Shape

Minimal tail rocker for more edge contact creating better grip and stability.

Directional Shape is designed primarily for forward skiing, combining an easy-turning tip with a more supportive tail. Minimal rocker through the tail keeps more of the ski’s edge in contact with the snow, improving grip, stability and control through the end of a turn. The directional profile delivers dependable tracking on firmer surfaces while maintaining the maneuverability needed for soft snow and variable terrain.

What makes this ski

Construction

Binding Inclusion

Integrated system

Top Sheet

Structured Topsheet

A structured topsheet massively increases durability and gives a high quality finish.

Structured Topsheet uses a textured outer surface designed to improve durability while giving the ski a refined, high-quality finish. The reinforced surface helps protect the ski’s graphics and construction from everyday scratches, scuffs and minor impacts caused by normal use, transportation and contact with other equipment. In addition to improving resistance to cosmetic wear, the structured finish gives the ski a distinctive, premium appearance that remains looking better over time.

Core

Power Woodcore

A dynamic ash and poplar core that adds a ton of stability and dampens vibrations at speed.

Power Woodcore combines strong ash with lightweight poplar to create a stable, responsive foundation for high-performance skiing. The denser ash adds strength, edge-to-edge stability and vibration damping, helping the ski remain composed when travelling at speed or encountering rough, variable snow. Poplar balances that power with a lighter, more energetic feel that supports smooth turn initiation and lively rebound. Together, the two wood species deliver confident control, dependable edge hold and a powerful yet manageable ride across a wide range of terrain and conditions.

Construction Extras

Tip Protector

A stainless steel protector that’s screwed in so it’s easy to replace and extends the life of the ski.

Atomic’s Tip Protector uses a durable stainless-steel component to shield the front of the ski from impacts, chipping and separation caused by regular use. Its screwed-on construction provides a secure fit while allowing the protector to be replaced if it becomes damaged or heavily worn. By reinforcing one of the ski’s most exposed areas, the Tip Protector helps preserve the ski’s construction and appearance while extending its usable life.

Sidewall

Duracap Sidewall

Sidewall from base to top sheet for great edge grip, with a rounded shape for increased durability.

Dura Cap Sidewall combines strong edge control with a rounded, impact-resistant construction. The sidewall extends from the base to the topsheet to transmit skier input directly to the edges, providing dependable grip and precise control on firmer snow. Its rounded cap shape helps deflect impacts and reduces the chance of topsheet chipping and sidewall damage. This creates a durable construction that maintains confident edge performance across groomers, variable terrain and everyday mountain use.
