Reef Footwear Fit Guide

Sandals

The heel and longest toe should remain fully supported by the footbed without hanging over either edge.

Closed Shoes

Your heel should remain secure while the toes have natural movement room. Check fit with the socks you intend to wear.

Between Sizes

Read the product-specific recommendation. Some whole-size Reef sandals recommend sizing down when between sizes, while other styles may fit differently.

Width & Volume

Foot length does not capture width, instep height or strap placement. Avoid straps that pinch, rub or leave your foot unstable.

Kids' Growing Room

Allow reasonable toe room without choosing a sandal so large that the foot slides or the child trips over the front edge.

Two Different Feet

Measure both feet and select using the longer measurement. Confirm that the smaller foot still feels secure in the selected style.

How to Measure

Measure at Day's End: Feet can expand during the day. Measure in the late afternoon or evening for the most reliable fit.

Prepare: Place a sheet of paper on a hard floor. Wear the socks normally used with closed shoes, or measure barefoot for sandals.

Stand Naturally: Stand with your full weight on the foot and keep the heel flat. Measuring while seated can produce a shorter result.

Mark Heel and Toe: Mark the outermost point of the heel and the end of the longest toe while holding the pen vertically.

Measure Length: Measure the straight-line distance between the marks in centimetres or inches and compare it with the correct sandal or shoe chart.

Measure Both Feet: Repeat for both feet and choose the size using the longer measurement.

Check the Footbed: For sandals, confirm that the arch, heel and toe position align with the shaped footbed and that the foot does not overhang.

Check the Product Page: Whole-size availability, strap design and fit advice vary by model. Product-specific information takes priority.

Sizing is a guide only. Fit varies by model, foot width, instep volume, strap placement, materials and personal preference. Individual product information takes priority.
