PSD Underwear Fit Guide
Men's Secure Fit
The waistband should sit flat without folding, and the legs should remain in place without painful compression or restriction.
Men's Roomier Fit
PSD recommends sizing up when between sizes or when you prefer less compression through the thighs and seat.
Women's Waist & Hip
If waist and hip measurements suggest different sizes, prioritize the hip for fuller-coverage styles such as Boyshorts and Boxer Briefs.
Minimal-Coverage Styles
For Cheeky, Thong and Tanga styles, begin with the waist measurement and confirm the intended rise on the product page.
Bra Band
The band should sit level and secure without riding up. It should support comfortably without digging into the ribs or skin.
Bra Cups
Breast tissue should remain contained without spilling, gaping or compression at the neckline and sides.
How to Measure
Natural Waist: Wrap a soft tape around the narrowest part of your torso, usually where your body bends side to side. Keep it level and slightly loose.
Hips: Stand with feet together and measure around the fullest part of the hips and seat, keeping the tape parallel to the floor.
Underwear Inseam: Stand with feet approximately 6 in apart and measure along the inside leg from the crotch to the intended leg opening.
Bra Band: Place the tape flat across your back and under each arm, measuring across the front just above the bust. Keep the tape level.
Full Bust: Measure around the fullest part of the bust with the tape parallel to the floor. Wear a lightly lined or unpadded bra when possible.
Measure on the Body: Take measurements over bare skin or thin underwear. Bulky clothing can add enough volume to select the wrong size.
Check Movement: Bend, sit and walk after trying on the item. The waistband and leg openings should stay in place without rolling, pinching or restricting movement.
Use the Product Chart: Materials, rise, inseam and compression can vary. Follow the exact product description when its information differs from this general guide.
Sizing is a guide only. Fit varies by style, fabric, stretch, rise, coverage and personal preference. Individual product information takes priority.
