Lib Tech isn't just a snowboard brand; it’s a laboratory for progression. Produced at Mervin Manufacturing—the most environmentally friendly board factory in the world—every Lib Tech deck is handcrafted by riders for riders. At The Drop, we carry Lib Tech because their technology, like the legendary Magne-Traction®, provides a distinct advantage in the variable snow conditions we often see in Canada.
The Tech That Changed Everything: Magne-Traction® & C2
If you've ever struggled with icy conditions, you need Magne-Traction®. By featuring seven strategic serrations along the edge, Lib Tech boards turn ice into powder, providing unreal edge-hold. Pair that with their Banana Technology (C2 and C3 profiles), and you get a board that floats effortlessly in deep snow while maintaining the precision and "pop" needed for aggressive carving and park laps.
Iconic Models: The Orca, T.Rice Pro, and Skate Banana
Our collection is home to some of the most sought-after shapes in the world. The Lib Tech T.Rice Orca has become a global phenomenon—a volume-shifted powerhouse that excels in both deep backcountry powder and tight trees. For freestyle progression, the Skate Banana remains the original "fun" board, while the Golden Orca offers a high-performance blend for riders who want to take mountain-sized hits in both directions.
Zero Hazardous Waste Manufacturing
Lib Tech's commitment to the planet is as strong as their commitment to performance. Every board is built using non-toxic materials, fast-growing wood cores, and water-based inks. Their "Eco-Is-Logical" philosophy ensures that your board is built without hazardous waste, making it one of the most sustainable choices in the industry.
