Bronson Speed Co. entered the market with a fresh perspective on skate hardware. By identifying the common failure points of traditional bearings—like dirt entry and shield popping—they developed a lineup that is "Fast, Fluid, and Frequent." At The Drop, we recommend Bronson to skaters who are tired of their bearings slowing down after a few sessions. Bronson’s technical innovations ensure that your wheels keep spinning at peak velocity.
The G3 and G2 Series
The Bronson G3 is the brand's flagship model. It features "Deep Groove" raceways where the balls sit deeper in the channel, reducing the risk of structural failure during heavy landings or lateral slides. The G3 also utilizes "Straight Edge" frictionless shields that pop back in easily and stay secure, keeping grit and grime away from the internal components. For skaters on a budget, the G2 offers much of the same high-end tech at a more accessible price point, providing a massive upgrade over standard stock bearings.
Bronson RAW: The Shieldless Revolution
For the purists who love the "sound of speed," the Bronson RAW is a game-changer. These are the first bearings designed to be run without shields. By removing the shields entirely and using a specialized "Tungsten Coated" race, Bronson created a bearing that is not only incredibly fast but also easy to clean and maintain. The RAW series is famous for its distinct audible hum and its ability to shed dust and debris that would typically get trapped inside a traditional shielded bearing.
Technical Features for the Modern Skater
Every set of Bronson bearings comes pre-lubricated with High-Speed Ceramic Oil, which protects against moisture and corrosion while ensuring a low-friction roll. They also feature a "Max Impact" cage design that keeps the balls precision-spaced even under extreme pressure. These details make Bronson a top choice for the technical street skaters and park riders in the Grande Prairie scene who demand gear that won't quit.
